Prayer for the Canonization of Mar Ivanios

O Triune God, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, we adore you; we praise you and we glorify you !

God the Father, in your infinite mercy and love, you fashioned the Apostolic Malankara Syrian Catholic Church, in the fullness of time. You appointed your venerable Archbishop Mar Ivanios to nurture, lead and build her up. You have made this virtuous father as an instrument for the Malankara Catholic Church to experience, peace and tranquility and splendor of truth. In your loving providence and make this church grow day by day in number and fervor. O Lord, let the warmth of the love of our beloved father Mar. Ivanios, let the fragrance of his virtues and his quest for communion with you and your church, be a source of inspiration for all people. May the Malankara Syrian Catholic Church, be blessed with the fervor of intercession of yet another saint ! We pray to you humbly, O Lord ! Raise your servant, Mar Ivanios, a saint in your Holy Church. May your all-glorious and blessed name be praised and glorified with that of our Lord Jesus Christ and of the Holy Spirit, now and always and forever. Amen.
